You Can Rise Again By Fran Graham
You Can Rise Again - Taught over 3 day course
Emotional trauma is a response to a terrible event that overwhelms one’s capacity to cope, and it can hit at any time. This faith-based course is an excellent introduction to psychological first aid and effective emotional trauma management skills based on biblical truths.
How can the church effectively care for people in crisis? Luke 4.18 says “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free…” Learn how to put that scripture into practice by first implementing personal holistic self-care practices to ensure a Godly balance and resilience in your own life which is necessary for your own stress management. Then discover how to quickly stabilize others in distress by using biblical, practical, and effective ministry skills to provide the appropriate immediate care and follow-up care.
With activities and skills exercises we explore how to identify normal responses to stress quickly so that appropriate steps can be taken immediately to mitigate the impact of distress or acute emotional trauma, allowing for a faster and more effective recovery.
